LEGAL STATUS – ELECTROPATHY
Legal Status of Electropathy in India and Telangana
- As per the order passed on 11.10.2010 by the Lucknow Bench of the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at Allahabad in the WP No.3992/2004 on 21.06.2011 Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, issued letter bearing No.C.30011/22/2010-HR to all State Health Secretaries and Union Territorial Administrations to recognize Electropathy in all States and Union territories of India as per the direction of Hon’ble Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on 9th March 2018 Rajasthan State Legislative assembly was passed Bill name as “The Rajasthan Electropathy System of Medicine Bill”bearing No.13 of 2018 for Recognition of Electropathy in Rajasthan State and T.E.PA already submitted proposal to the Government of Telangana for Recognition of Electropathy and it pending before Government of Telangana till date there is no ban on Electropathy practice in Telangana State.
- Hon’ble Supreme Court of India passed order that no ban on the Medical practice of Electro Homeopathy.
- Till date there was number of Judgments and Orders passed by the Supreme Court of India, High Courts and other Subordinate courts which legalized the practice of Electropathy.
- As the matter of recognition of Electropathy is pending before the Government of Telangana till date there is no order issued by Government of Telangana to ban the practice of Electropathy in Telangana State.
- That the Matter of recognition of Electro Homeopathy is under consideration before the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, Government of Telangana.
Electro Homeopathy or Electropathy Education and Practice was legalized by the following authorities :
- Hon’ble Supreme Court was passed an order in Special Leave Appeal No.23572 /2009, Dated: 10/08/2009, “that no ban on the Medical practice of Electro Homeopathy
- Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, issued letter bearing No.C.30011/22/2010-HR to “all State Health Secretaries and Administrations to recognize Electropathy in all States and Union territories of India Union Territorial
- Recognized by the Government of Rajasthan, “Vide Bill No. 13 of 2018 by name as The Rajasthan Electropathy System of Medicine Act 2018.
- As per the Order of the Hon’ble High Court of Telangana In Wirt Petition 34564 of 2025, Dated: 24th November 2025, Passed the interim order restrict the authorities to interfere in Practice, Education and Training of Electropathy of Asian Institute of Electropathy Medical Science and its members.
- Recognition of Electropathy is under consideration before the office of the Director of Health and Family Member, Government of Telangana, as per the Application of T.E.P.A, Dated: 23/10/2022.
- Hence, as per the above references, the Education and Practice of Electropathy System of Medicine is legal in Telangana State.
Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy is practicing since from many centuries in our country India without any recognition from the Government till 1970, at that time they all are legally eligible for education and practice without having any recognitions, Asour country got independence on 15 August 1947 butafter time period 24 Years they got recognition through Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) Act, 1970. Ayurveda Unani and Homeopthy are legalized before the above said act without any recognition same like that Electropathy is also legally eligible for education and practice in India until act is to be passed. As till date Electropathy System is not recognized in Telangana so that whatever rules and regulation of Telangana Clinical Establishment Act is not applicable for Electropathy Practitioners.
